Email your Representative and Senators and ask them to ban single use foam.

Say Farewell to Foam in the USA!

Commonly referred to as plastic foam, expanded polystyrene or EPS is manufactured from fossil fuels and is often used for disposable takeout food containers and packaging materials, like packing peanuts.
These disposable products are used for only a few minutes but create long-term havoc in our communities, environment, and health. They easily break into small pieces that litter our beaches, poison marine species when ingested, and release toxic chemicals into hot takeout food. Pieces of EPS are one of the top items regularly collected during Surfrider’s beach cleanups.
S.897 (Van Hollen - MD) and H.R. 1918 (Doggett - TX) would prohibit the sale and distribution of plastic foam food containers, loose fill foam packaging like packing peanuts, and single-use foam coolers across the country.
